CUMIC is honored to have supplied 560 tons of ASME SA516 Grade 65N & 70 Hot-Rolled Plates for the Hail and Ghasha Oil and Gas Project, a pioneering onshore gas processing facility owned by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). The Ghasha Concession is also the world’s largest offshore sour gas development.
Worth approximately $16.94 billion, this project is globally recognized for its commitment to net-zero CO₂ emissions, integrating advanced carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies. Beginning construction in 2023 and expected to complete in 2028, it aims to capture 1.5 million tons of CO₂ annually, while producing more than 120,000 barrels of oil and condensate per day, contributing significantly to the UAE's sustainable energy goals.
The supplied steel plates were utilized in the construction of critical components of pressure-containing vessels, including:
